WHAT AM I ENTITLED TO?
In most cases, online access to content after 1996 (where available) is free of charge to personal subscribers. In order to view content before this time, access to the Oxford Journals Digital Archive through a participating institution is required. Alternatively, you may purchase short-term access on a pay-per-article basis.
STEP ONE - MY ACCOUNT
If you are a new subscriber or you have never accessed your journal online before, you will need to choose a username and password by registering at My Account . Select 'Click here to register as a new user with Oxford Journals' to proceed with registration. If you forget your username or password at any point you can click here for a reminder.
STEP TWO - ACTIVATING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION
After you have registered or logged in you will see the main My Account menu. You now need to activate your subscriber number. This is the 8-digit number supplied when your subscription was first set up (it may be preceded by '0000' on correspondence), and it tells us which journals you are entitled to view. If you do not know what your subscriber number is, please contact us. We will need to know your full name and address as well as the name of the journal you are subscribed to. Once you have your subscriber number, please click on 'Activate your subscriptions' and enter it in the box provided after reading the individual user agreement. Please note that activation of your subscription may take up to 36 hours.
STEP THREE - ACCESSING ONLINE CONTENT
To access journal articles after this process is complete, simply select the journal you are subscribed to from this list and navigate to the article of interest. If you are prompted for a username and password at any point, please enter the details you chose in step one.
